These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the CPM Awards Platform operated by the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka (CPM Sri Lanka). By accessing, registering on, or using this platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms & Conditions, you should not use the platform.
By accessing or using the CPM Awards Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and any award-specific rules, guidelines, or requirements published by CPM Sri Lanka. These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including applicants, nominees, visitors, judges, representatives of organizations, and any other persons accessing the platform.
Applicants must ensure that:
Applications submitted through the CPM Awards Platform are subject to the official rules and regulations of the relevant award programme, including but not limited to the Best Management Practices Company Awards (BMPC Awards), the Management Leadership Excellence Awards (MLE Awards), and any future award programmes administered by CPM Sri Lanka. Applicants are solely responsible for ensuring that submissions are completed before the published deadlines. Incomplete, inaccurate, fraudulent, misleading, or late submissions may be rejected or disqualified without notice.
Where applicable:
Applicants may submit documents, reports, presentations, photographs, videos, and other supporting materials as part of their application. By submitting materials, applicants confirm that they own or have permission to use all submitted content, that the submission does not infringe any intellectual property, confidentiality, privacy, or other legal rights of third parties, and that the content does not contain false, defamatory, offensive, or unlawful material. Applicants remain solely responsible for all submitted content.
Platform Content — all content available on the CPM Awards Platform, including text, graphics, logos, designs, software, databases, and other materials, is the property of CPM Sri Lanka and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. No content may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, published, or commercially exploited without prior written consent from CPM Sri Lanka. Submitted Materials — ownership of submitted application materials remains with the applicant or the respective rights holder. However, by submitting materials through the platform, applicants grant CPM Sri Lanka a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to review and evaluate submissions, maintain records of applications, and use applicant names, organization names, award categories, photographs, and award achievements for promotional, educational, reporting, archival, and recognition purposes related to the awards programme. Confidential business information will not be publicly disclosed without authorization.
The evaluation process shall be conducted in accordance with the procedures established by CPM Sri Lanka. Applicants acknowledge and agree that:
Applicants are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, integrity, and ethical behaviour. Applicants may be disqualified if CPM Sri Lanka determines that false or misleading information has been submitted, fraudulent documentation has been provided, the applicant has engaged in unethical, illegal, or improper conduct, or any declaration made during the application process is found to be inaccurate. CPM Sri Lanka reserves the right to conduct reasonable verification procedures where necessary.
CPM Sri Lanka recognizes the confidential nature of information submitted through the platform. Application information may be disclosed only to authorized CPM Sri Lanka personnel, approved judges and evaluators, technical service providers operating under confidentiality obligations, and regulatory or legal authorities where required by law. All judges and evaluators are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding applicant information and submissions.
Where user accounts are provided, users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and for all activities conducted under their accounts. CPM Sri Lanka must be notified immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected security breach. CPM Sri Lanka reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where misuse is suspected.
Users shall not:
CPM Sri Lanka aims to maintain uninterrupted access to the platform but does not guarantee continuous availability. CPM Sri Lanka may temporarily suspend access for maintenance and upgrades, security reasons, technical failures, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. CPM Sri Lanka shall not be liable for any loss resulting from platform downtime or technical interruptions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPM Sri Lanka shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform, inability to access the platform, submission errors, loss of data, technical failures, or participation in any awards programme. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, CPM Sri Lanka's maximum liability shall not exceed the amount of the application fee paid by the applicant.
CPM Sri Lanka shall not be responsible for any delay, interruption, modification, postponement, or cancellation of any awards programme due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, strikes, power failures, cyber incidents, or other unforeseen circumstances.
CPM Sri Lanka reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on the CPM Awards Platform and become effective immediately upon publication. Continued use of the platform after any amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms & Conditions or the use of the CPM Awards Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Sri Lanka.
